The physical formats of Live In Mexico City expected on November 20, have been revealed!

The live release comes out on 2CD and on Blu-ray, with the extended version of the film (142 minutes, in Dolby Atmos), both in a cross-shaped digipak. Vinyl lovers can choose between two 4LP box sets: one on black vinyl, the other on vinyl in the colours of Mexico. A limited deluxe edition brings the 2CD and the Blu-ray together with a large photo book of almost 300 pages.

For collectors, there are two special editions: a 4-LP ‘white label’ box set, limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, available exclusively from the official Rammstein Shop, and a Lucha Libre box set limited to 6,000 copies, which holds a life-size head of one of the band members, along with the matching lucha libre mask. There are six variants, and the head stays a surprise until the box is opened! You will have to wait until March 19, 2027 to receive it, though.

Live in Mexico City will be released in cinemas worldwide starting November 4. Trafalgar Releasing will handle cinema distribution, with the exception of German-speaking countries, where Filmwelt Distribution will handle it. The film could thus be shown in more than 15,000 cinemas.

Screening dates vary slightly by market: in France, for example, the film will be released on November 6. Additional dates may be announced at a later time.

The film will be shortened to include 20 songs and run approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, compared to 23 songs and approximately 2 hours and 28 minutes for the full version.

After almost four years of waiting, it’s official: Rammstein have announced the release of their Live In Mexico City, in cinemas and on physical media! The announcement is accompanied by a stunning trailer lasting more than 2 minutes.

The cinema release is scheduled to take place in cinemas worldwide from 4 November for a limited run. Exact screening times will be announced shortly on the dedicated website, and bookings will open from 23 September.

Physical editions will be released starting November 20 and will be announced when the pre-orders open on September 23 at 5 pm CET.

Rammstein has officially kicked off the promotional campaign for Live In Mexico City with a first trailer! It shows a drone flying into the Foro Sol.

The live footage was filmed during Rammstein’s three concerts in Mexico City in 2022, by Paul Dugdale, a renowned director specializing in concert films. It is scheduled for release in November 2026 in theaters and on physical media.

While the existence of a "Live in Mexico City" was confirmed last May, its release schedule is taking shape.

Our colleagues at RammWiki discovered that a German cinema had scheduled two screenings for November 4 and 7, 2026. This programme confirms a cinema release. We also know that several physical editions are planned.

"Live in Mexico City" was filmed during Rammstein’s three concerts in Mexico City in 2022. It was directed by Paul Dugdale, a renowned filmmaker specialising in concert films.

If you follow us regularly, you’re familiar with GEMA, the organization that manages copyright in Germany. Our colleagues at RammWiki have discovered five new songs added by Rammstein on June 16!

Ja nein Rammstein is, of course, the final version of Ramm 4, which was just a working title. The song was composed before the 2016 tour and has only been performed live since then. As for Sei still, this title appeared on a promotional photo released in 2018 by a marketing agency that had worked with the band. The other titles are unknown.

It’s difficult to say at this point how these tracks will be used. An expanded edition? An EP? Songs to accompany the release of another product?

The FSK website, which is responsible for determining the minimum viewing age for films in Germany, has published a listing titled “Rammstein Live in Mexico City.”

The year of production is listed as 2025, suggesting that the film has been produced and is ready for release. With a runtime of 148 minutes and 34 seconds, it was directed by Paul Dugdale, a four-time Grammy Award nominee known for his concert films featuring renowned artists such as Adele, Taylor Swift, the Rolling Stones, and Coldplay.

The live performance has received a 12+ rating from the agency.

As a reminder, the concert was filmed during three epic shows on October 1, 2, and 4, 2022, at the Foro Sol in Mexico City.

Today we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of Rammstein’s third album: Mutter!

Considered by many to be the band’s most accomplished opus, it gave us gems like Sonne and Ich will, which have been performed at every concert ever since.

We recently promoted the coverband Stahlzeit, who performed in concert this Sunday at La Seine Musicale, near Paris.

The Rammstein World team attended the show, and we never could have imagined such an impact. After what we saw, heard, and felt, it’s hard to pretend nothing happened. The energy, the precision, the stage presence… it was all there. And even more. While we expected just a cover band, we discovered something different. Something superior? Yes, let’s say it.

This is therefore a well-considered decision: starting tomorrow, the Rammstein World website and associated social media channels will be entirely dedicated to Stahlzeit. They will be renamed “Stahlzeit World”.

From time to time, a treasure resurfaces. Such is the case with this proshot of the concert given in Worcester on 23 September 1998! The concert, which was part of the American ‘Family Values’ tour, was partially filmed for a report broadcast on MTV.

The recording has just been made public on YouTube, 27 years later! It includes three complete songs and two excerpts, all in excellent quality.
